Insufficient Storage Error
I recently purchase a Samsung android smart phone, running on android 2.3.6. it have 2 GB microSD as external memory.
I installed quite a few
apps and unfortunatly now I am facing memory issue while updating Facebook and other app around 13 MB or installing any other app with
10mb+ memory required , i got error message insufficient storage.
The error mainly occurs
when trying to install an update to an app already installed. The
problem occurred on the android market branded app and continues with
the new goggle play store branded app. I have been trying to find a
total solution to this problem but have had no luck.
There is lot of space on
SD Card but yes system space is low. What is the efficient
tricks/best practises to make sure system utilize more SD Card
storage and less system storage so that I can install few more apps.
Is there any way to shift few installed apps system memory to SD card ?
The answer is yes i have
the answer of this, just see App2SD for
moving some of your apps to the SD card. And if you choose to root
your phone instead and use Link2SD,
you'll have the option of uninstall pre-installed "bloatware"
apps that you don't necessarily use but came with the phone.
If you are going with link2SD app so follow these steeps:
1.
Search for Link2SD
2. Install it
3. Open it, if prompted, grant it super user access through superSU
4. Tap menu, then settings
5. Scroll down to Install Location
6. By default it is set to external, change it to automatic.
7. Exit Link2SD and try downloading an app before, it will work now.
